Our new 8100 Series IP Converters support all industry POS platforms and major payment processors with fast and secure transaction processing in a single-box solution.

Eliot, ME – October 4, 2013 – Abierto Networks announced today the release of a new series of IP Converters that incorporate imbedded commercial 3G modems from all major wireless carriers.  The 8100-Series IP Converters deliver High Speed transaction processing to retail locations without the need for a physical DSL or Cable Broadband connection.

“With transaction speeds that rival wired Ethernet connections and PA-DSS security, the 8100 offers a cost competitive solution for retailers wishing to bring High Speed transaction processing to sites without Internet connectivity”, said Rick Sales, president of Abierto Networks.

A versatile device, the 8100 is not only for use at sites lacking Internet connectivity.  Cost- competitive data-only packages make it possible for retailers to physically separate transaction processing traffic from the rest of their in-store network, increasing security and reducing their PCI burden.

Rick Sales added, “With the 8100-Series IP Converter, retailers can convert a POS or payment terminal to High-Speed processing with a single-box solution, and deploy it on its own network, totally separate from the rest of the data traffic at the retail site.”

The 8100-Series IP Converter is available in several models to support your particular site requirements, and will be on display at Abierto Network’s booth #3632 at the 2013 National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) trade show in Atlanta, GA October 13 – 15.
